What ages do you perform for?

I perform magic for all ages, however my children’s birthday shows are aimed mainly at children aged 4-9 years. This doesn’t mean that other ages won’t be able to get involved though - I just find these shows work better when the bulk of the audience sat at the front is between those ages. I do get booked by many nurseries and pre-school groups for younger children - this works great as the nursery leaders all get involved in the fun too. My show is also family-friendly making it ideal for christenings, weddings, holiday parks and other family occasions and venues. I love to get the adults involved in the fun - and so do the kids!

Do you have DBS Clearance?

Yes. As a self-employed entertainer I have a basic check. Please get in touch after booking if you require a copy of this emailing over. If you require an enhanced check please allow plenty of time to have this arranged at your expense. Failure to arrange this in time for your event is not reason to cancel, given the DBS is provided as a courtesy, and not a legal requirement.

Do you have Public Liability Insurance?

Yes. As a member of Equity I am covered through my Equity membership for £10,000,000.

Do you perform charity shows?

Absolutely! Magic is a great way to bring attention to your charity and I perform for quite a number of charities each year. However, if its a free performance you’re looking for I am unable to help at this time.

How much space will you need?

My regular family show is quite big, meaning its not really suitable for front rooms and house parties. I use many larger, eye-catching props, as well as carrying a sound system to ensure you can hear me at the back if need be. Its hard to give an exact performing space but in a church hall or function room there’ll be plenty of space! If you’re having your party at home I offer a shorter show that uses less space. Click here for details.

I’m thinking of also booking a bouncy castle or soft play

Bouncy castles are generally fine as long as there’s enough space for both the castle and the show, and the castle must be switched off during the entertainment. Soft play and magic shows don’t mix well. Ball pools are a source of ammunition and the mats are ideal for more boisterous kids to fight on. So if you really would like to book soft play then I’m afraid I won’t attempt my show alongside it!

Should I hand out balloons and party horns before the show?

NO! I want you to get the very best show for your event. So please, no loose balloons or party horns in the room during the show. They’re too much of a distraction and I won’t be able to start my show until they’re out of the room.

Do you perform larger shows?

Of course. I can perform anything from a 15 minute variety act to a full 2 hour theatre show complete with dancers and larger illusions. Please contact us for more details and pricing.

Can you hold a date for me?

Due to the number of enquiries I receive and to be fair to all customers (whilst also ensuring I’m able to pay my bills), I can only hold dates with a confirmed booking. I operate a ‘first-to-confirm’ policy on all dates, so if you make an enquiry but choose not to confirm straight away the date and timeslot is still available for anyone to confirm. If you have received a booking form or contract by email, clicked the link to confirm and received a confirmation email then its in the diary!
